Nestled by the stunning Geneva Lake in Switzerland, Nama is a restaurant that redefines culinary boundaries. The name “Nama,” meaning “fresh” or “vitality” in Japanese, reflects the restaurant’s dedication to innovation and high-quality dining. Nama surprises its guests with a creative fusion of Japanese and Western cuisines, whether it’s adding Western flavours to traditional Japanese dishes or introducing Japanese influences into Western classics. Every plate is crafted to deliver an unforgettable dining experience filled with creativity and artistry.

To capture the essence of Nama, I designed a hand-drawn typeface logo that reflects the brand’s artisanal spirit and authenticity. The bold yet fluid strokes represent the restaurant’s energy and creativity, while the natural green brushstroke symbolises Geneva Lake, anchoring the brand to its serene yet vibrant location.

In addition to the logo, I created a comprehensive brand book that outlines Nama’s visual identity, including typography, colour palette, and application guidelines. This cohesive branding extends across all touchpoints, from the restaurant’s signage and digital presence to its menus and marketing materials.

Nama’s branding isn’t just about aesthetics—it communicates the restaurant’s mission to surprise and delight its guests, offering a fresh take on culinary artistry that resonates with its global audience.
